i did this one on audio & it ends with two songs! it’s read by the author, hiiiiighly suggest audio! the magic? premise is a little unclear but i loved this one. characters are defined and the narrators arc! had me hooked

The Witching Moon Manor by Stacy Sivinski ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

i DID NOT do my due diligence on this because i was so excited to get my hands on a library copy, but it is the first of a series, ends on a cliffhanger. lol. i have seen some negative reviews and the things they didn’t like are the things i love…

i finished book one of this duology on my bachelorette party, in a pool in mexico, + gasped so loudly at the end that i startled people around me, lol. this book lived up to that hype + had a fun (sarcasm) take on the miscommunication trope! 😂

I have truly enjoyed this series and honestly had a hard time putting them down. I loved how it wrapped everything up without like being weird about it but i’m sad we’re done with this series. 😂

Listen. I love a romance. This one has it all, pop stars, scandal, handsome cowboys, family drama, “come on town, let’s put a show together to save this ranch!” no notes. would watch the hallmark adaptation.

The prose of this is somehow simultaneously beautiful and clunky, like an old knight's rusty armor. It felt like drudging through mud, which was maybe the intention? I did cry though, so do with that what you will.

A sentient house! A curse! Witches! This book was an interesting take on one of my least favorite tropes (miscommunication!) but the miscommunication was between all of our main characters instead of love interests and it was cozy

“Still they looked and smelled enticing, for all books, like wine, had a readerly aroma that ripened with age, which was why bookstores and libraries smelled so good.”
even in hell, the books smell good. i loved this.

I love unique magic systems and Rachel is excellent at those. I couldn’t put this down. I laughed, I cried, I did the Eliza at the end of Hamilton gasp in the dealership waiting room at the ending oh my GOD

I preordered this forever ago and I was SO excited to read it. it came off holds right as I finished the last book and I tore through it. I loved everything except it ended with a trope I hate 😂 So thad’s why 4.75

Kinda forgot this was a series until kindle said “a new release in a series you’ve started.” I love love love a witchy romcom. This was no exception. Took all I had in me not to buy the next one since my library doesn’t have it yet.

i really enjoyed this and how each “chapter” of Kalki’s life is tied to a story of Vishnu. i also really love Vaishnavi Patel’s writing. highly recommend picking this one up, it’s fast paced (ten chapters, lol) and hopeful.

this is my favorite of the leonas. without being spoilery i almost didn’t want to pick it back up today because i thought we were BARRELING towards one trope & i couldn’t bare it, but we swerved a different direction & i am crying
