It’s been tough being a teacher educator for various reasons. But tonight, our student teachers created visual analyses of Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show, identifying the social issues & injustices his lyrics highlight that their students of color may also face. They bring me joy & hope!

I’m seeing intros, so I’m jumping in. I’m Kristen. I’m a teacher of future teachers. I am heavily involved in DEI, social justice, and diversifying the teacher pipeline. I’m a mom of two teen girls, and far too many fur babies who I love to photograph. So glad to have found a positive place!!
