There is no end to the pettiness of Trump and his administration. Of course NPR and PBS have always been targets of the right, but the “savings” would been puny. Also, I do not buy the excuse that some cut was done by mistake. Trump breaks what he can get away with.

It took me 2 and a half hours to get through to Social Security today, but I did succeed in getting my questions answered. The woman I talked to was great. Cutting the ability to talk to an actual human would/will be horrendous.

There are other elections too. Crowley for the Wisconsin Supreme Court; the 3 special elections for House seats — admittedly two are in Florida; and the Virginia elections in November 2025.

My son teaches for Americorp in a primarily Latino grade school. One day he reported that a little 2nd grade girl said she may be moving to Honduras. My son asked why. She said: ´the President.’ I worry for the kids in the school. I worry that Americorp will be disbanned.
