This Indigenous public art --- five 12-metre panels of glass beads along Hamilton's waterfront --- is stunning. By Cree-Métis fashion designer Angela DeMontigny. My thoughts immediately went to Christie Belcourt's paintings.

Nicholas Smith, UEL, and his wife Catherine settled on the Henry of Pelham property and raised 14 children. The site was sold, but rebought by their Speck descendants who starting growing grapes. There is a small burial site on the property at the back.

Need help identify where this building was. @torontoarchives.bsky.social says it's the Muirhead blg at 217 King East (1929-30), which is incorrect. Any suggestions? @torontohistoric.bsky.social @jbcurio.bsky.social #torontoheritage
