It is a love story of two people living in two very different places, trying to finally reach each other. It was sweet and so very romantic. Now, 20-some years into marriage and working in the mental health field, I am deeply concerned about Griffin.

3. Best Fluff: Bookshops and Bonedust by Travis Baldree. I'm not into DnD but everyone around me is, which is how I found this book. It is perfect reading for those days the world is burning up around us.

people's behavior with us. Are they an asshole? From there the book provides practical insight into navigating the assholes of life in a way that I still find superior to most things I have read from the pop psych world on narcissism.

Rather than focusing on people's diagnoses, which isn't our business unless we are their therapist, and avoiding stigmatizing mental health issues in general by making a mental health diagnosis an insult, this book encourages us to focus on people's behavior with us.

2. Best Non-Fiction: The No Asshole Rule by Robert I. Sutton. I first read this book when in came out in 2006 or so. As our culture has shifted in the last 20 years to focusing on narcissism and personality disorders, I find this book so much better than any accusation of narcissism.

Medicaid and Medicare health care payments were temporarily stopped yesterday. AP News says that it shouldn't be affected no matter Monday's court decision on the freeze, but clearly the freeze had the effect once already. This is chaos.

I got an email from my state to all healthcare providers who take Medicaid that funding for Medicaid had stopped abruptly today but has been reinstated and seems to be okay moving ahead. Not that it was a mistake or just rumors, but that it did actually stop.
