Yes, I am asking precisely because I want to know how to model my expectations. Seems pretty much the same as Twitter to me, and I really, really hate Twitter. The only reason I am trying something else is because I cannot post daily on r/Art, which gives me more reach than anything.

I mean if I have to follow 1000 people, even if I am interested or not in their art, just so maybe 100 would look at my art, MAYBE they would, then I'd rather pass. Maybe it's more worth for people monetizing this, I don't know.

Plenty of problems that could be pointed out: having to sift through a lot of semi-witty stuff written for attention, loads of opinions on anything and everything, bots, the open source policy which makes it targetable for AI scraping, and also the transactional nature

And on top of everything, it also has its share of bots. I really do not get the hype at this point, but oh well.

It's hard to tell. I can't even see the reach. Is it 5 people, is it 50? It's important, because if it's the same thing, time is precious. The open source model that makes it vulnerable to AI companies scraping the data for free is definitely not a bonus.

I don't know, I see pretty much the same kind of recommended posts that can be expected of any other social network. I barely see art. Searching, following, interacting, all that, is a huge time sink, and I'd only like my art to be seen, I don't care about followers. Prolly not for me.
