And teaching children to /predict/ the meaning of a sentence and then /backfill/ that into the words on the page is possibly the worst fundamental educational idea I have ever come across, bar none.

It's gaslighting and confirmation bias as an approach to reading comprehension! Utter insanity!

I'm like halfway through the article, and i'm so mad. If you don't teach children the fundamental link between words and verbal communication, how can you possibly expect them to improve?

Fascists want to control all information and all art to make them reflect the world as they believe it is. And a machine which can only ever produce words they agree with or images they like and replaces all other forms of humans producing words and pictures is exactly what they want.
November 3, 2025 at 10:16 PM
That's really important to understand, so I will reiterate. Any information that disagrees with a fascist /cannot/ be a fact, regardless of empirical evidence. Any illustration, novel, etc. that does not cater to the Nazi /cannot/ be art.
November 3, 2025 at 10:16 PM
Not quite. It's not /that/ the fascist's use genAI.

To fascists, art and information can only serve the purpose of embodying and promoting the fascist worldview and ideals. Anything that does not do this is not considered art or information by the fascist.

Look back to the early posts making fun of the goon material these chuds were churning out. Blondes with fat tits and teen faces. Everyone was making fun of the weird teeth and extra fingers. But the real thing of note is that you could practically feel the white supremacy dripping off the pixels.
November 3, 2025 at 9:41 PM
There's a whole deep well you could dive down on how fascists view information, art, aesthetics, and consensus reality.

But for a microcosm, look at how Musk tries to use Grok. They are trying to create machines which dispense Correct Thought and Correct Art. It's a very fasc thing to do.

People in the quoted thread are clapping like seals because they're imagining how cool it would be if they personally got to tell Joe Rogan to legally fuck off.

I can't help but imagine anyone who gets even mildly critical of Xi getting their degree revoked and their channel shut down.

Using 70% of a community's fresh water is the benefit they want, actually. Paying for it, tho? Putting it towards a common good? Nah, not their bag. They need that fescue to POP, baby!
October 23, 2025 at 6:21 PM
Reads to me like the same old "I want all the benefits of a modern society without having to pay any of the costs."

Gods, yes. I know so little about buildings. They stand up when they're built good, and fall down when they're built bad, and that's about it.
I would love to learn more about them.

I prefer the theory of good old cost reduction mixed with a healthy dose of parking minimums, but resale potential probably has some influence.

It's like if The Grand Tour wasn't contaminated by awful gits, and is a wonderful view into the Yukon:

You heard it hear first, folks. There have been no Democrats elected to any political office since 2008. Therefore, they absolutely can't have done anything to prevent any of this.
September 19, 2025 at 9:52 PM
Others are doing the job of giving you sources, so I will focus on something else. If your friends are fans of Charlie Kirk, you should trust them a lot less than you currently do. You should also probably not have friends who are fans of his, gay or otherwise. Sitting at tables with fascists, etc.
September 11, 2025 at 6:48 PM
What's that? Humans adopting entirely irrational behaviors based on anecdotes and paranoia?

Surely you jest.

I wouldn't be.

You're right, and you should say it.

2) Developers (and their employers) are responsible for how their programs behave, end of story. I don't care what the user provided as input, no software should ever provide fucking suggestions for self harm.
August 27, 2025 at 3:36 AM
Victim blaming bullshit, and just outright wrong.
1) Chatbots respond with whatever data gets correlated to input, and that doesn't always line up with how we compartmentalize "topics."
August 27, 2025 at 3:36 AM
Would you say the fans were... "entitled" to more communication? Because that's where I disagree.
We paid for Hollowknight, and we got it. If Silksong never materialized and devs ran off to Bermuda without a word, that'd been fine. Any extra emotional investment is on you, bud, not the devs.
