I had to say goodbye to my Lucy on 8/31. She was 17 and needed A LOT of tending to for the last 2 years. I basically lived my life structured around her needs for that whole time. Now she’s gone and it just feels weirdly empty. I haven’t been dogless for 31 years. Not gonna lie - this is hard.
