"I missed you. I have missed you. I will miss you - like an ache I cannot describe, a weakness that is more than passing. Do you also think of that moonlit stream?"
The elegant scrawl is not signed, but there is a particularly soggy corner bearing one suspicious looking fang mark, carbuncle sized.

especially with how SE utilises Celtic culture and treats a language struggling to stay alive so it's definitely not intended to disregard on my behalf.

intending to come across similarly because I don't want to naysay anyone, I just have a genuine interest/love for history & historical fashion and don't want anyone to feel hurt 😭 People deserve to be listened to if something hurts them full stop. I felt the same way about some sections of shb -

It's very disheartening tbh that people are running it into the ground/being rude and aggressively "you're overreacting" to POC over it tbh. They reserve the right to be upset because even I can see clearly how it comes across. I appreciate you letting me know that you're aware that's not how I was+

To clarify as well this is not me debating/arguing with you and trying to get you to see my point of view, just responding for clarity and apologising.

It was never meant to be an um, actually, though I'll admit it's disparaging to have it stated that's what I was doing despite agreeing several times and stating that it caused harm. Regardless, I apologise that it came across as such.

I apologise, it's not my intention to come across as pedantic. I've also not disagreed in the slightest that it's disrespectful and doesn't belong, I'm speaking entirely from the perspective of my degree rather than trying to detract from any real hurt caused - that to me isn't up for debate +

It's quite obvious that it has missed the mark and caused irreparable damage but I'd rather people would be incensed over it being a monumental fuck up and criticise their cultural department rather than SE callously rubbing colonisation in their faces

historical fashion here, which is not going to be something the average person knows about in depth. It was clearly a massive oversight and a poor design choice in both context and timing that requires an apology, but any opportunity to try and alleviate the pain of feeling attacked helps imo.

I don't disagree that it's insensitive and I think it could have been much better placed/designed, but it's not an argument that the armour it's based off of is two centuries later than that which conquistadors wore. This doesn't mitigate from any hurt people feel, I'm speaking strictly on +

For visual reference too to show what I mean but these are all C18 which is clearly what they were going for and missed. Probably would've been better in another expac.
