We will see how it goes, last time someone challenged Steam they failed horrifically, but if someone is gonna be able to compete in a hybrid pc-console space with Steam, it’ll be Microsoft (until Sony makes their own PC store front lol then they could too)

Less box focus for sure, they’re wanting to bring people in to their storefront. They’ll publish on Steam (and Sony), but say you should come by through them by claiming you’ll get more bang for your buck through them via cross buy and cloud. Not a battle of hardware or exclusives but store value.

Gone are the days of Xbox vs PlayStation, now is the time of Microsoft vs Steam. Very exciting turn of events, interested to see how well Microsoft is able to turn windows into into a workable console experience that can compete against SteamOS.
