At the minimum, avail yourselves of these steps:

Mid-Mediterranean coast of Spain - "Castellón de la Plana" (just north of Valencia). We are touring right now, and we found Spain's bicycle infrastructure outstanding! And the motorists are patient & courteous. 👍

2nd nature for me as a sailor, but happens much more quickly as a cyclist. As everything else is in motion to the cyclist anything that is in their range of view that appears stationary should be an immediate threat.

I feel badly that you can be so wrong, and misinformed. It would reflect upon you much better if you were able to get out into the broader world and see how much healthier a city/community/society is by including bikelanes and encouraging equitable use of Public right of ways for _all_ users.
