At least those of us who sign up for the “Warn Central Texas” alerts do (but I’m in Travis Co. - home to supposedly “liberal” Austin). We get text & phone alerts constantly from that system when things are dangerous. Heavy rains cont. here & more flood warnings have been issued & sent via Warn CTX.
