The main purpose is to eliminate totalitarian regimes and ideologies from humanity. We will also evolve democracy with technological and social changes to keep it beneficial to all.
Glad to see American people exercised their rights to vote out Trump republicans. I still think progressives should take responsibility for not having a convincing policy framework to replace the neoliberalism instead of playing identity politics.

I agree with that Biden’s blunder on immigrants policy disqualify him as president. I have no problem with taking self responsibility. Still I can’t elect a people who raped young girls as president. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

After 50 years of brainwash of neoliberalism, people get use to treating public issues as business deals. Trump is the product of his time.

When Truman left presidency, he had no income or support of any kind from the federal government other than his army pension of 112.56 a month. After 50 years of neoliberalism, we are used to use money buy anything, including political campaigns. Then we have Trump presidency now.

I am thinking why US is repeating this mistake over and over mentioned by George Kennan: This whole tendency to see ourselves as the center of political enlightenment and as teachers to a great part of the rest of the world strikes me as unthought-through, vain-glorious and undesirable.

People are puzzled by the changes from Regan to Trump: a US Fuji was fighting for liberty, democracy, communism to a US is embracing dictatorship, limiting freedom of speech. This is the fateful paradox of neoliberalism: an ideology started from fighting for liberty but ended up in dictatorship.

This is a good documentary about neoliberalism. He is right that the left is lacking a Keynesian version of theory after the demise of neoliberalism. If we don’t have one for long, the danger is to become an oligarchy society at best or a fascism at the worst.

I was surprised by people’s indifference to trump’s nasty language. MAGA seemed appreciate it. Now I think it may be a counter reaction to the suffocating political correctness. People thought we finally can speak our mind without worrying. Now people realized again these nasty words are hurting,

Bannon said trump is a blunt too for MAGA since they couldn’t find a better candidate. Well, sound like German rights selected Hitler to fight labor/communism. The problem with this kind of argument is trump has his own plan. Can not summarize better than Derek.

The lesson for progressives is how you promote your agenda in democratic ways. You promote tolerance of race, religions etc and then you cannot tolerate other criticism. Too much political correct.

AI, following current trump government blueprint, will not benefit most of Americans. It will be another globalization instead of replacing manufacturing jobs, it replaces office jobs. So this kind of reindustralization will lead to another crisis. A possible positive is to modernize American

MAGA destroyed republican establishment first because neoliberalism started from Regan. Now they targeted democrats establishment who also promoted the neoliberalism last several decades. The fact that Trump is very silent about Madani is interesting.

Trump’s fund for kid is saying that in a systems biased favorably towards capital, owning capital is the only way to reduce income inequality. 1000 is just too low to make any difference. A more meaningful way to increase inheritance tax to 60% and distribute the tax to all kids.

Conservatives curb the unfettered capitalism by relying on religion, the logic is all the problems we have with capitalism is that people lost their faith. People will be less greedy by following what bible taught. Or women should stay at home to raise kids. History showed that these are inadequate
