The Forum’s next event will feature Emily Wilson, the first woman to translate The Iliad and The Odyssey into English, at Carnegie Music Hall (Oakland) on December 13, 2024.
Earlier this year, after a 15-year hiatus, the International Poetry Forum relaunched with a performance by poet Terrance Hayes at City of Asylum.

Earlier this year, after a 15-year hiatus, the International Poetry Forum relaunched with a performance by poet Terrance Hayes at City of Asylum.
Over the years, the Forum has welcomed more than 800 poets and performers from over 50 countries, including legends such as Seamus Heaney, Gwendolyn Brooks, Chinua Achebe, Mary Oliver, Tennessee Williams, Kurt Vonnegut, Jorge Luis Borges.
