I guess all of this is to say, North Carolina FC's supporters had to watch this lame ass goal trickle over the line at the death (*right* in front of their supporters section) and it might be the last thing they ever see their club do. Sporting karma is real.

The massive exception to this were these losers in Cary, North Carolina. The team I supported were their supposed "rivals", so they tried to make it into some sort of college rivalry a la Duke/UNC or worse, pretending it was some blood rivalry that dated back centuries for teams not even decades old

It's the second division of American soccer. No one gives a shit about it except those who *really* bothered to care about supporting their local team (who were usually not very good and constantly turning over new players, managers, or just outright folding.)

Still thinking about this. As a recovering minor league soccer team supporter, I traveled to my fair share of away matches. Richmond and especially Charleston were always incredible and their supporters were always remarkably hospitable. We always tried to do the same for away fans visiting us.
