Chloe Eddins weaves childhood fantasies into her art, creating felt squares and a large painting of herself embracing a unicorn. Her work blends gentleness and boldness, like the glass sword chandelier she’s also showcasing at "HARD EDGE soft thread."

Myla McCune blends her rural upbringing with themes of femininity in her work. Drawing from quilting patterns and animal hides, she explores gender roles, fragility, and strength. Her ceramic tiles pay homage to unrecognized women crafters, reflecting the complexity of femininity and identity.

Miguel Rivera, Chair of KCAI's Printmaking Department, shares why the public+free event is so impactful for kids: "Tactile experiences feed the brain for certain skills. It helps kids reconnect with learning through touch—something often lost in today’s digital world." #kcai #printmaking
