Cat is hitting on a very real point, here. Honestly, my gut instinct is that this is part of what happens when shame is outlawed as an acceptable emotion to feel
Tech doesn't *have* shame, and its workers are forbidden from feeling it. Ergo, anything shameful cannot be tech.

People who are agog at the BoM website rebuild costing more than they expect should remember that every IT project goes well over budget, especially if a consultancy is involved. Public or private sector, it doesn't matter.

We all like freebies, but with little or no extra capacity expected to be added to V/Line trains over summer, services are likely to be packed.
V/Line travel is free on weekends this summer in Victoria but will you find a seat?
Victorians will benefit from free public transport on weekends this summer, but not all travellers are excited for the freebie.

There's a certain irony that for the West Gate Tunnel "Discovery Day" they discouraged people from driving to the event, and boosted public transport frequency. If only this type of thinking was in place when they consider building these big motorway projects in the first place. #Melbourne

With US carmakers pulling back to the US and Trump once again saying he’s cutting off negotiations with Canada, it seems pretty clear what Mark Carney should be doing: taking a meeting with BYD and other Chinese automakers to see if they want to build in Canada in exchange for lower tariffs.
