'Reduces' is carrying a log of weight here.

The obvious question is how will you know ?

Reminiscent of the US taxpayer bailing out the auto industry ?

The stock market is far more important to Trump than the average taxpayer. He's always transactional with his profit being the primary goal.

Why should A.I. be any different ?

Tom you can't fault anyone for not trusting this administration.

After all the subterfuge how can we be anything but cynical ?

Bernie is right. The 8 who capitulated saw defeat because they still don't understand it's a new fight. A fight that takes a higher threshold of strength and courage than they've ever had.

All it took was a handful of Democrats to capitulate.

It's leadership's responsibility to act in the interests of the majority of their party. This time they didn't.

Time for new leadership !

What do you suggest we do about it ? @rbreich.bsky.social Please offer us a plan of action, not just a statement of the facts that we already know. I'm serious.

You're the professor. You the author promoting your book. Tell us what we can do to change what's wrong. To compel us and give us hope !

Yes enough. This is the same material you used in your class lectures, your book. If only repeating the same thing over and over somehow contributed to change. We need new voices. We've heard yours. We need new ideas and solutions. Not the same rhetoric. We understand where we are and we've been.

They hope to make whatever sales of seasonal merchandise they can before the economy gets worse. The majority of those decorations are tariffed now.

Insurance premium increases hit November 1st. Unemployment is up. Jobs are difficult to find.

If anyone understands small biz economics you do.

Undeniably a coward and without the protection or immunity that you might believe the mask affords you.

He's not opposition, that's my point. His statements demonstrate he hasn't grasped the crisis we're in.

What an anemic response to a serious misrepresentation about the event. Jeffries still doesn't understand the seriousness of the situation or at least the need for a strong Democratic rebuttal.

Let's be clear. GOP Senators and Representatives APPROVE of everything that's happening.

They're not passively 'okay'. Their lack of providing the checks and balance congress was create to have over the other branches of goverment implies consent and therefore APPROVAL.

Did they even know he was anti-ICE when they booked him ? They couldn't have. That's this week's news and they didn't just book him this week.

He's just using words the Maga base understand.
October 4, 2025 at 7:57 PM
Why would the Trump administration respect this particular any more than the others they break daily ?

This should come as no surprise to anyone. If Trump could make it a gold coin he would.

Yes he did. Using incendiary ammunition, Pomeroy and Brock bullets.

Their unity is the fear they all feel. Knowing full well that it's all just cosplay and grandiose lies.

Every day that passes without a cohesive voice or plan from democrats to retake control of the congress weakens any opportunity that may remain to do so. Nice post by your guest author but it doesn't offer anything we don't already know.

I subscribed to Democracy Docket a week ago. I am impressed with the depth of information in the daily updates. This administration has been flooding the zone effectively and we're all fatigued but with Democracy Docket I'm confident I'm not missing critical news. Thank you Mark Elias and team !

The answer must be to rename a major department of the government or start saying that it's the deep state preventing job creation or it's Hillary's email or ....

The truth is you can't prevent the real world impact of incompetent economic policy from being self evident no matter who reports it.
