Creating a structure early that delineates unit tests with no dependencies from integration test with *some* dependencies, to bdd/acceptance tests with many prerequisite dependencies, helps teams think about keeping their testing clean and hopefully less flaky.

Often, on a large project with a complicated test suite, the team opens a Pandora's box of creating dependencies between tests and/or confusing unit with integration/acceptance testing. Tests become flaky and riddled with ordering, clean up code, dirty contexts, and other un-refactorable smells.
