To date, the most comprehensive evaluation of a causal grandparent effect on grandchildren!

Result? A big fat zero effect! 👀

Very excited that our all new paper--which revisits the "college as equalizer" debate in a very comprehensive and methodologically sophisticated manner--is accepted for presentation at the ASA IPM regular session!

Just did the proofs for this short methods paper that I really like!

Not everyday you get to 'solve' a problem identified 30 years ago in some of the most widely used statistical models in #sociology 👀 - and with two super awesome collaborators, what a blast 🥳

Fascinating finding in this new JOLE paper:

A new meausure of parental lifetime wealth correlates highly with parental schooling and consistently so throughout childhood.

Parental schooling is perhaps a better proxy of 'permanent' family resources than many would've thought?

Cool new paper in JOLE arguing that there is no 'best' age for measuring parental resources when examining social mobility. It depends on which outcomes and which parental resources.

Fascinating new paper by Bukodi and Goldthorpe, showing among other things recent growing educational inequalities by family background in West-Nordic countries, after marked declines in the first half of the 20th century.
