I saw the administrator who brought the speaker from home taking it thru security and explaining what it is for, I did not see it in action. I don't eat in the staff dining room normally (jail food is disgusting even if you work in jail) but I'm tempted to go check it out today.

The narrative around what's happening at the winter shelters is also patently false. City employees are paying for food and supplies like toilet paper out of their own pockets and working insane hours bc the staffing agency that's supposed to be covering needs just failed to do their job.
