Millions of high school and college graduates will celebrate a mile stone in the next few weeks. Let’s be among those that welcome them, encourage them, and celebrate them for they are diversity; they are change; they are our future. And we are theirs. Together.

My younger colleague often swings by my classroom, pops her head in, and says, “You’re doing great.”
Even though I don’t always feel like I’m doing great.
I am: in a smile, a nod, a word of encouragement.
And you are, too.
We don’t have to be perfect.
Teach a day at a time.
