We won! First place in the ladies' 10k category and by far the fastest in my lifetime (not sure the gender split makes sense when you're running with a pup!). I also got to meet Murphy, the first Hamilton Animal Services dog taken out for a Steeltown Canicross run. Awesome day. 🐾@steeltown.canicross

Enviro nerd #Halloween costumes of yore. Sad that I cannot find my 'Matt Damon potty strike' & 'ag runoff' costume pics, but here's dirty beach and carbon credit.

New drops: Inspired by #Handel's Water Music (1717), “Echoes of the Thames” transports listeners across 150 years of water quality data. Performed by #Indiana U’s #Baroque Orchestra. 🎵 Who knew the #phosphorus loads could sound so beautiful. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0x6Q...

I always enjoy the Ego Meter, but I was tickled to see the discovery of #bryozoa (an indicator of water quality), at the mouth of the Don, made the list! Bryozoa are super cool. 🕶️🐟

What a great man (Hui Yen 'Sam' Louie). The memories I have of #Grossmans Tavern Sunday Jazz are legendary. Such an iconic Toronto space, of the best kind. Get your parasols up! 🎵🎷☂️ @theglobeandmail.com #LivesLived www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/artic...

What a fantastic week is North Dakota - a wrap of the Red River Basin Commission's 42nd Summit. The long-term dedication to cross-border collaboration is impressive.

Not to mention, the very best events are ones that include farmers. We planted lots of seeds.

I finally read Scott Young’s The Flood (McClelland & Stewart, 1956). Scott was a Canadian journalist (& father of Neil Young🎸). He reported on the Great #Winnipeg Flood of 1950 which shaped the book. Charming read. I've witnessed dam engineering in spring...thinking this could be a fiction genre.

"Transboundary" is the topic of the hour😰! Rhetoric aside, I'm looking forward to the 42nd annual Red River Basin Commission's Summit next week, where First Nations, Métis, federal, state & provincial agencies discuss collaborative water management. Water brings nations together. #strongertogether
