I answer stuff people post in this platform. If I found your question, and I know the answer, maybe I can help you.

It's been a really long time since last time I touched anything related to UI under Windows, but... This thing, is a splinter I had in the ass since years ago.

What does?, nothing really. Is just a custom control to replace the TabControl that comes with dotnetfw.

This is just a proof of concept.

Well... Now I have my own search engine running locally. Let's test drive this thing for a few days.

I'm really tempted into testing guitar rig under linux. I've tried using guitarix as an amp, but is not the same. The thing works, but with a bass, it doesn't sound good.

I find kinda funny that I've been playing so little new things, that Steam is padding my replay with anything it can throw into.

Wait... I'm fucking free?

TeamViewer is killing all licenses to the 13 version. TeamViewer was the last thing that tied me to use windows.

The end of the license also opens a door to move away from the shit that is teamviewer. Maybe I'll move to AnyDesk.

Right now, I'm happy, and kinda worried.

Watched the TRON Ares movie.

It wasn't good. Isn't bad. But is really quite mediocre, considering what Disney did on Legacy.

The story boring, and some times feels like they glued a bunch of scripts together to see what sticks.
The music, very, very, bland.
And the actors. A bit cringy sometimes.

2 days... 2 fucking days fighting with a strange network problem (My main windows machine wasn't connecting to anything inside my network).

- Disabling the firewall. Nope
- Resetting the firewall. Nope
- Reinstalling the NIC. Nope
- Failsafe. Nope.
- Maybe my vpn services/config. Nope

I've seen bad AI responses. But Perplexity is awfully bad. It regurgitates the first thing that come as a search result without even checking if is related to the original question.

Ok. That was fast. CachyOS doesn't have an offline installer... That alone, automatically puts him on a black list for me.
December 1, 2025 at 10:37 PM
I'm going to do a quick test of CachyOS to see what's the fuzz about.

I'm nowhere near planning to replace Fedora. But the more option I have, the better.

Been alone the entire day, and I haven't feel this relaxed in a very long time.

Void rig farming phase 1 complete. Tomorrow will do the remaining stuff. There are just some minor missing components <3

#Warframe

Finally got all the main pieces to build the components for the voidrig.

Now. I need to farm a fuck ton of stuff from Deimos.

Shout out for those little applications that most of the time live in the shadows, but have a lot of utility.

Never heard of LocalSend before. Been using it for a few days, and is simply awesome how simple is the process for sharing stuff across all my work platforms (linux, win, android).

D: never tried printing/scanning under Linux.

I'm just afraid to say this, but... It just works. No driver fuckering or bloatware to install... It just works.

Want to scan something?, just open Skanpage, and it works.
Want to print?. Just add the printer through the KDE settings app.

The Rell quest on #Warframe for sure, is really creepy.

Oh look. An empty ship... what could go wrong.

Finally got around into making an app to manage the boot animation+app start up of the pc I'm using as a console.

I'm using Playnite as a shell replacement.

GitHub - GreyDogSoftware/BootSplasher: A simple app that executes a video animation and then any app. This is mainly for use with a shell replacement under windows (Ex: Playnite)

I just loved Warframe. As a game, is the perfect balance between online and offline.

The grind is really heavy, but the amount of available content is just... overwhelming.

Fucking yes!!!

US denied the patent to Nintendo :D

Wth?. The wine version from WineHQ now passes the event "LostFocus" to the windows. This is perfect. I've been fighting with a bug on one of my apps just by that exactly same reason. Now the app hides when the window loses the focus instead of requiring spamming buttons until it disappears.
November 4, 2025 at 11:52 PM
The wine-mono version available in the Fedora 43 repo has a bug with dependencies. I ended installing the WineHQ version.

If you use the included version. Any app using netframework won't work, and will throw some random error of "assembly not found" or "dll not found" (iconv.dll in my case).

First time upgrading a Linux distro from one release to another. And let tell you. Windows is really, really far to be this painless. The entire process was:
- Download the packages.
- Check for incompatibilities
- Start upgrade and wait.
Done

FFS... that wine problem I had a few months ago came to bite my ass once again. Seems like there were some leftovers of that time, and the upgrade failed the transaction check part.

A bit of "dnf remove wine*" later, and I'm ready to apply the upgrade.

Let's "dnf5 offline reboot" and see :D
