Shout out to Vermont property values which were definitely inflated but are now in free fall this year.

Alright friends.
I’m a half century old today and it’s a privilege so posting a no makeup selfie and a big thank you to y’all for showing up on Tuesday.

Thanks for voting and not making my birthday suck this year. Can we do this again next year?

Whew. I didn’t think that story could get worse but remember the Vermont state senator who resigned after being exposed as part of that widely homophobic and racist young Republicans chat?

Yeah so he was a mental health crisis worker specializing in suicide counseling. 👀

My Christmas cactus is a cutting from my mother’s that I’ve had 25+ years and every year it quietly announces the start of the season by throwing out buds.

Every DAMN year.

Oh you want more? We got lots more where that came from.

Left: What Mike Johnson thinks an insurrection looks like

Right: What an actual insurrection looks like

Republicans are not serious people.

Never had a sitting rep send me anything like this. Every Vermonter received this in the mail this week.

This is why Bernie Sanders is still a senator and keeps getting elected.

He does the work.

Reminds me of this one…

More weird Portland things because why not! Seriously enjoyed eating out way through Portland apparently. 😂

Just me and the fam enjoying the “war” zone that is Portland awhile back.

Dismal place full of food trucks and books and a park on every block and extremely accessible public transit.

We obviously had a very bad time.

Think I found the fatal funnel Trump was trapped in.

Does anyone have a sharpie?

I don’t even have to look up. Clearly it’s a squirrel.

Running away and hiding in the woods for four days is very hard work.

Do not recommend.

If you’re just scrolling past this in your feed, it looks like they’ve installed a bunch of golden penises on the patio.

The shelter said it might take weeks for the anxious rescue dog we adopted to warm up to us. When we met him, he wouldn’t look at us & would run away or hide if you extended a hand to pet him.

Fast forward five days & the dog is currently curled up in my lap demanding belly rubs & licking my face.

The bad news is I thought it would be a good idea to adopt a slightly feral but very sweet dog and he ran away into the woods the second we got him home from the shelter.

The good news is he’s back now and really really exhausted because being naughty is hard work.

Footage of the bear trying all our windows before finding easy access to the kitchen.

Unfortunately the back deck would have had the best footage but that camera is disabled at the moment. Sigh.

You can see it stand up to peer in the window and assess whether to try to get in that way.

In case you’re wondering why it feels like your money just doesn’t go as far as it used to the last few months.

You’re not imagining things. And it’s about to get much worse.

If Mike Lee is so concerned about gun violence perhaps he should pay attention to his home state, which has had two mass shootings in the last 48 hours.

Perhaps he would like to make Twitter jokes and memes about his own dead constituents?

Somebody is having a no good very bad birthday party.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but peaceful protest is a lawful activity.

The constitution says so pretty plainly. Assemble. Document. Hold your ground.

Criminalizing flying flags. And insisting only the regime’s flags be flown.

You know this sounds really familiar.

I see the ketamine-fueled ultimatums are proceeding in a predictably chill fashion.
