I can draw the same character 10 different ways on total accident. I am not sure how to create my own personal rules to follow. Maybe the answer is make a "master" reference of each character on the same page then use the shit out of that. I tried my hand at that recently tbh, might need 2 redo

It doesn't help that i dont consistently follow the same rules over time. Recently ive been boxing myself in with a certain way of drawing which leads to a look i like, but im still struggling to grasp at an actual style. Im at least coloring things in a semi consistent way now

A lot of my art is guesswork and cheesing it to make it look like i know whats going on LMFAO if you peek at the man behind the curtains you will see that i am just really good at polishing something to be passable as good, vs having knowledge on, for instance, anatomy.

Honestly a lot of good art ive done needed some kind of reference, cos i never have any ideas for one, for two i dont have a solid grasp of how to draw still after 27 years lmfao

Yea i thought the reference photo was really cute and neat!!! I had to redraw it with my oc :3 ty!
