New for 2026, we are developing our new show "Ruby & the Lighthouse". More detail will be released as we go...

We can officially announce that Baron Erdbeere's Big Fang Theory will premieer at Normanby Hall's Spooktacular on Sunday 26th October. We will be performing three times during the day with show times still to be announced.

I spent this morning trying to design a DIY puppet for kids to make their own version of Baron Erdbeere. It will be printed up so that kids can print it, colour it, cut it out, and glue it to a paper bag.More will follow but this is the prototype version.

Say hi to our latest puppet who comes with an excellent pedigree. We purchased this puppet after it has appeared in Joyce the Play, a children's show that appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2019 and was built by Casey Jay Andrews. The puppet, now named Ruby, has a great future.

After a weekend of working on filming for the 2025 Puppet Place 48 contest, Artistic Director Andy Evans had a change of pace by visiting Franklin College in Grimsby, to work with performing arts students.

We will be running puppet making workshops in Sutton on Sea this August, you can make your own tabletop puppet like proto with us, along with other styles of puppet using recycled and repurposed household materials.

Kazbah Theatre performed for the British Puppet Guild yesterday and had a fabulous day.

To celebrate World Puppetry Day this year on March 21 Kazbah will be providing a workshop free of charge to Grimsby's Caxton Youth Theatre and its members, on Saturday 22 March. Here's hoping we find lots of budding puppeteers among their ranks.

Salty the Sea Dog is very interested in the British Puppet Guild as a member and is enjoying reading the latest edition of their magazine, The Puppet Master.

Kazbah Theatre is currently on a brief hiatus due to AD Andy Evans awaiting knee surgery. We will return in early 2025 and have some exciting projects in the pipeline. Watch this space...

Our next venture after Cirque du Pierre will be Salty's Holiday being performed outdoors at the Lincolnshire Show on Weds 19 and Thursday 20 June. On Saturday 22 June we will be performing Chip & Fish at North Lincolnshire's Armed Forces Day. In July we will be at the 2024 Beverley Puppet Festival.

Our latest show has its premiere on Friday 31 May and we are delighted to announce that it has already sold out!
