I am not against using Nightshade but I would not call that "almost unnoticeable." Maybe I look at images too closely, but all of the detail in the background of the left image is completely smoothed out and "liquefied." (it looks similar to the GIMP/Krita smudge tool)

I learned that Zen (somewhat popular Firefox fork) enables JPEG-XL by default today. Works great with your gallery :3
