Yeah that's one of the least interesting ways to use the fate point economy. Declarations are by far the more interesting option and along with compels are used to redirect the story. Think of it as being strategic rather than tactical.

The obvious solution to this problem is for the Steve Jacksons to unite into a single person who is simultaneously residing in the US and the UK. The later of which only has a 10% tariff rate with the US.

The UK tarrifs stand at 10% currently. So expect a small price hike, but it's not like you are going to be paying Australian prices.

1) Prioritising free speech as an absolute goal, results in online spaces that are unusable. If you don't believe me try having a productive conversation on 4chan. If you don't try to deal with this you end up with a noise to signal problem.
