The spectacled eider is both abstract and intricate, living along the coastal tundra within the Arctic Circle, a tiny miracle in a frozen world.

The vastness of silence, the rings of the rock formations, and the heat of the Arizona sun all made me feel both quiet and alive. I stopped at Hermit’s Rest and took a deep breath for a while. I felt that I was so small and grateful for this moment.

Clines Corners
Since 1934, it has been in business, providing a short break for tired drivers on Route 66. Here you can enjoy burgers, burritos and other delicacies, or buy some souvenirs in the gift shop.

Blue Hole is a bell-shaped pool about 26 meters deep, known for its clear water. Once a fish hatchery in the 1930s, it's now a popular spot for scuba diving and relaxing. A diving license is required and can be purchased nearby.

The Blue Swallow Motel has been in operation since 1939 and is the oldest hotel still open along Route 66 in New Mexico. It is said to have been included in the National Register of Historic Places.
