Great to join staff at my old college on the picket line this morning. ✊
Teachers at Notre Dame gave me the confidence to go to university, and they introduced me to the world of politics that I’ll always be grateful for.
They deserve above inflation pay rises.

I’m thinking this morning about a mother I met on the doorstep in June who was nearly in tears because she couldn’t afford to send her kids to their school breakfast club.
This will make a big difference for families like hers.
Next step should be universal free school meals.

Leeds City Centre's Civic buildings are lit tonight to observe Trans Day of Remembrance. The Trans Pride flag is also flying at the Town Hall and Civic Hall.
We honour the lives lost as a result of transphobia, and abhor the continued violence endured by the Trans community around the world.
