Well, he wasn't raised in a sewer!

Yep, I'm in Florida, and we are often on the receiving end of the FAFO comments and memes, most recently due to the mass deportations and our new "Alligator Alcatraz" detention center. Gloating over collective punishment is ALWAYS wrong!

One of the best ways for those countries, and all others, to reject Trumpism is to boycott the Olympics and World Cup. That won't happen, though.

If I haven't yet read the story, would you recommend I read it before seeing the movie, or after?

I admit I initially bought into the narrative that this was a joyful, romantic image without giving it much thought. After learning the truth, I couldn't believe I hadn't noticed such obvious body language. Shameful that the creators were likely aware of the true nature of this "classic" image.

I get so mad whenever I think we could've had him instead of Vance!

The ones he cares about do.

Only the ones who betrayed their friends and family members. And I don't hate them for doing that, I just can't feel to bad for them.

Of course not, but they still supported him, at least here in South Florida. They just thought they were "special" and it wouldn't happen to them.

I have much sympathy for the innocents being targeted in the deportations, but the Latinos who loudly supported Trump with their whole chest? Nah.

Years ago I visited Cincinnati for a conference once and went up to the observation deck of the Carew tower; they were selling WKRP t-shirts and I still kick myself for not buying one, haha

My theory is that they see her plea for empathy like some view toxic positivity, more performative than sincere. What they don't get, though, is they are the ones whose empathy is performative (like claiming to care so much about unborn babies, but once they're born, not so much).

Oh man, the number of times I've been forced to listen to this while waiting to talk to a Walgreens pharmacist...

Both Harris and Clinton are intelligent, capable women who would've been a better president than Trump. Yes, they were both flawed and more or less anointed by the DNC, but not nearly to the degree that Trump is by the RNC. Republicans never have and never will choose a woman as their nominee.

She really needs to come here now that Elon/Twitter have become 110% for Trump.

Hi, Mike - looking forward to your take on Walz!

I'll bet Trump wishes he'd thought of it. Lame as it is, his followers would eat it up.

He just recently said his first son (now daughter) was killed by the "woke mind virus," so, no he doesn't care about her except as a source of sympathy for himself.

South Florida liberals are fighting the good fight, but we're outnumbered by MAGAs in north Florida and Cubans for Trump in our own backyard. And all we get is mocked with that GIF of Bugs Bunny sawing Florida off of the US map.

That's my favorite of the Endless, so I'm excited to see how she does!
