This exactly. I think anonymity stoked the fire years ago by removing all the consequences, and now after all that time it has just become so normalised that even a lack of anonymity (like on Facebook) is insufficient to prevent some people from being toxic.

As a person who is apparently now Certified Old(TM) ..... I can definitively say that not much has changed on the Internet in 20 years aside from terrible discourse now being taken seriously and argued over instead of ridiculed, mocked and ignored into oblivion the way it used to be.

Stupid 250-word limit...

Anyway, I also don't like that I have to pay extra attention to what is or isn't AI anymore. It's just an extra layer of work in sorting through all the nonsense I encounter daily online.

No one should ever feel bad about being critical of absolutely anything they find on the Internet. For me it's always just been the cost of doing business. In the 2000s there were plenty of fake sites, viruses in ads, blogs filled with lies, etc. Since then, it has all just consolidated platforms.

How many more of these unfinished and unpublished doodle pages do you have? The ones I've seen so far have been an absolute masterclass in feature-film levels of polished character design and construction. I would study the heck out of these!

At least it wasn't "I got my dong dinged"

Corridor Crew did a video about this exact same thing regarding The Matrix and the massive differences in colour grading between home media releases.

In that particular case, it was more critical because of the very specific green tint to everything the Wachowski's were going for.

Don't know why anyone would interpret it that way.

Yeah I'm with you on this one. I see the halo and wings as being more a "innocent and cute shortstack" thing or possibly even a "perfect princess" thing.

Just eat an entire lemon slice while looking at the ceiling.

I've said it 100 times if I've said it once.

You eliminate social media (tiktok, instagram, facebook, etc) and you eliminate half the driving force behind it.

AI generated content means NOTHING without an audience to post it to.

There's a reason submarines use the same VLF range where the atomic clock signal resides. It penetrates water really well lol.

I don't ever wish ill or harm on people. I instead wish the complete loss of their entire wealth and status upon them because it's always rich people being referred to in such sentiments. You see, suddenly having zero money or influence is, for a wealthy person, a fate worse than death.

To Walmart's credit, the one singular thing they've done correctly is solve this exact problem by creating what they call the "sidekick." It's not an end-cap, but it serves as a small extension to one.

It doesn't matter how much you shake me. You can't undo what has been done.

That's a mood. Not an insignificant chunk of what's been driving me away from the Internet the past two years. Bad enough I deal with dumbassery IRL. I shouldn't be required to navigate a field of indignant young landmines when I'm online. I'm getting too old to handle both simultaneously.

So THAT'S what the Velvet Sundown situation has ended in. I see.

Originally typed "Velvet Underground" in another reply because it's my first time hearing about either one of them and I totally confused the names. Jeez Bsky needs an edit function BADLY. xP

You have to explicitly tell doctors like this "I am not lying about these symptoms, your diagnosis is wrong. You being beyond dismissive of me, and If you do not stop being dismissive, prepare for a lawsuit. I am here to be treated, not to line your pockets for minimal effort."

We are drowning in "realistic fiction" from all the network TV police procedural shows. Do something bold and different. It's your characters and your world to build. Dare to be as unrealistic with it as you want, and point anyone offended by that to my comment here: they can go pound sand.
