I have dietary restrictions but decided to spoil myself today with a burger and Coke 😃
Okay so the burger patty is plant based, the cheese is low fat, the “bun” is 2 slices of 100% whole wheat bread, and the soda is Coke Zero Sugar. But still! 😋😁

I was thinking about how I'd decided to slow down my workout at the gym a little this morning, and when I'd realized "I was slower on the rower but typical on the elliptical" I felt like I was having a Court Jester moment 😂

Sleep got the best of me last Wednesday when I was supposed to be washing dishes. I didn't really have free time to catch up until the weekend, and there were sooo many waiting to be scrubbed by then! The Dirty Dishes Demon nearly got me that time, but I managed to prevail once again 🥳🍽️

I had a heart attack 3 months ago and I’m thankful to be recovering better than expected.
I haven’t written in all this time but I’m working an old story so hooray for that, and I’m still not as active on BlueSky but miss you 😊💖
Hello my friends! 👋 It's been a good long while since my last post, I want you to know I'm doing better. The full story is that I had a heart attack due to cholesterol blockage in my left anterior descending artery, a.k.a. the "widow maker" artery, a few months ago. They had to put in a stent, and I was warned that my other arteries were bad enough that bypass surgery was likely in the near future. I have been working towards healing both physically and emotionally since. With the combination of medications, a healthier lifestyle, and physical therapy I can happily share that my cardiologist has decided that while additional stents may still be a future possibility, open heart surgery is no longer on the table! 🥳 I've been improving steadily in my physical therapy, and while I would much rather go back to my dance cardio classes which I miss so much I know how important it is to be monitored as I continue my recovery. But it's encouraging to know that with every improvement it gets me one step closer to returning to my classes. I also haven't been writing for the nearly 3 months since this all began. But over the last couple Wednesdays I’ve joined in on @SarahRheaWerner ‘s (or @sarahrheawerner.bsky.social) online Create-Alongs, transcribing a 4,000ish word story I wrote in my pen&paper journal while on vacation last year. This last week I finished the transcription, and next week I plan to start the rewriting and editing process 🤞 That’s about where I am now. I’m still not getting as active on social media as I was before all this happened, but I do miss my friends and try to poke my head around from time to time. I hope you all are doing well; what have you been up to? Another update, about my break from writing and what I’m doing about it 💖
I’m also not writing again yet either. I guess I needed the break more than I realized, although my thoughts are slowly thinking about what’s coming next. In the meantime I’m also guilty of being a writer who has been avoiding reading, which I’m not proud of. Even now, I’ve lost my reading habit so much that it’s a struggle to put down the video remote and start a book. So instead I’m starting light to make it easier on myself: comic books!💥 First up is a collection of a Doctor Who series with a story that spans from the first Doctor to the eleventh. Hello my friends! 👋 I’m still recuperating but improving both physically and emotionally. Part of my recovery plan involves taking walks… but that’s so BORING to me! I’m more about the destination than the journey TBH Plus, more often than not it’s just too cold to go meandering outside 🥶 What to do, what to do..? I came a wonderful workaround to get my exercise AND have fun: I broke out my old Dance Dance Revolution games for the PlayStation 2! I’m far from the speed I used to play at, and have to keep it on the light or beginner difficulty levels, but I’m having such a good time! I’m reliving the old classics and licensed songs I love that have long since disappeared from the arcades. Hello my friends, I want you to know I appreciate all the support I’ve gotten these past couple of weeks it means a lot 🤗 I’m still working on healing and am showing signs of improvement. I do check in on my social media but the current climate is filling my feed with so much negativity around recent national and world events I can’t allow it to add to my stresses right now. I’m grateful for you my online family and will continue to send supportive thoughts and energy your way 😊💖

Hello my friends! I’m still here, recuperating and recovering from all the hospital excitement I had last week. It’s going to take more time but I can already tell I’m on the mend. I’m not quite ready to fully return to social media yet, and despite dipping my toes back in the water a few times I’m really enjoying a Joy Of Missing Out. But I do check in on notifications, and my DMs are open for anyone who needs to talk 😊 The harder truth is that I haven’t started writing again either. And despite the guilt I honestly feel better for it. I didn’t realize how much my daily goal was weighing on my shoulders, and now that it’s ended I feel a wave of relief. So I have that to figure out about myself now too. I miss you, and hope you all have a lovely weekend 😊💖
