Nah. He was friendly. Yowly but friendly.
We managed to coordinate with a friend to get him into a rescue, and he was adopted within a day.
I'll miss him, but we couldn't have let him back outside (which he desperately wanted) here, so close to where he was trapped.

He leaned into my touch through the trap so we let him out.
He had pooped in the crate and had poop all over his fur. No visible injuries, not favoring any one paw.
He's smelly, like poop and pee, but he's not showing feral body language or behavior.

Welp, I wore layers and gloves like when I trap ferals, and somehow got lucky that pinching and selecting a pinched area of skin between their shoulder blades seemed to work like diabetes shots with my dachshund. No drama, no war wounds.
And no rabies. ;)

Welp, I wore layers and gloves like when I trap ferals, and somehow got lucky that pinching and selecting a pinched area of skin between their shoulder blades seemed to work like diabetes shots with my dachshund. No drama, no war wounds.
