It was actually only 7 months (7/7/09 thru 2/4/10) and during that time the Senate was only in session for 72 days. But due to the terminal illnesses of Ted Kennedy & Robert C Byrd, there were only 60 days when there was a super majority present. Obama backed HRC because she was the most qualified.

Apparently the owner of the security firm is still facing some minor charges, but he wasn't even present at the event. And he will probably be found not guilty. Idaho is a cesspool of MAGA.

As of today (12/5/25) all charges against the thugs and the sheriff have been dismissed. No one will be held accountable. A civil suit in this solid red MAGA county will be pointless.

And yesterday (12/4/25), all charges - ALL CHARGES have been dismissed. Charges against the security men AND the sheriff, who was acting OUTSIDE of his jurisdiction, have been dropped. No one, NO ONE, will be held responsible. And now Teresa is being subjected to verbal abuse by local right-wingers.

You might want to do some more research on this. I found that early exit polls agree with your numbers, but the final count was closer to what Astrid said.

Is anyone surprised? Even if he were to commit to it today, he would go back on his word. It's what they do. It's what they always do. They do not want us to have healthcare unless we are rich enough to pay for it. They have been breaking their promises since they killed the Clinton Plan in 1993.
