I wouldn't say he's useless, I just personally believe you should cut the person who you either used most or compare their stats to see whose skills are better. And this is coming from someone who hasn't even played the damn game yet.

I got the hero which I consider cannon for me as when I hear any strange noises or everyone around me has suddenly disappeared, my first choice of action is to grab the nearest weapon.
