The “Know Nothings” were an anti-immigrant, anti-Catholic, pro-slavery political party formed in the 1850s. They were famous for saying “I know nothing” when ever asked about alleged crimes.

It’s so weird, I remember being taught in CCD that God gave us eyes to see and minds to think and that the universe was a puzzle box for us to figure out. That God wanted us to use Science to figure out his universe.

It’s not like it’s binary, it’s not like the only two options are republicans and democrats. And it’s not like the definition of a democrat is anyone who doesn’t toe the republican line.
