#Gaza: The destruction is abnormal, catastrophic, as if a nuclear bomb had hit the area.

While the ceasefire in Gaza has finally been announced, in the past months people across the Strip have continued to suffer from Israeli forces' relentless bombardments.

#Gaza: The temporary ceasefire in #Gaza is a relief, but it comes after 465 days and 46,000 lives lost.

This is just the beginning of addressing the immense humanitarian, and medical needs.

All parties must respect the #ceasefire and ensure safe delivery of aid to those in need.

#SouthSudan: We strongly condemn the armed attack on two of our clearly marked boats on the afternoon of Wednesday, 15 January 2025 in Upper Nile State

This attack puts the safety of humanitarian workers at risk and disrupts the delivery of critical medical aid to those in need.

#Gaza: The announcement of a possible #Ceasefire, which has yet to be signed and implemented, is a vital respite, though it comes tragically late - after immense suffering and countless lives lost.

#Mozambique: A month ago, Cyclone Chido destroyed tens of thousands of homes in Mozambique. We're providing psychological support to help survivors cope with distress.

This is after facing years of conflict, displacement, and #climatechange.

#Gaza: Since Oct 2023 we have only been able to evacuate 13 children from #Gaza to our hospital in #Jordan.

We call on the Israeli authorities to ensure medical evacuations for all Palestinians in need of care now including caregivers while guaranteeing their safe return.

In 2024, only 30% of the global humanitarian aid needed for over 186 million people in 73 countries had been funded, leaving a $34.5 billion shortfall.

Gaps in humanitarian funding result in immense human suffering.

Desperate, he jumped into the sea after being told they’d let his wife go with him, but it was in vain. He shared this harrowing story with MSF after his rescue.
