Every time I do it, I count 1,2, before moving from one tooth to the next. I hate actually preparing for it (so it can be the afternoon before I do it), but I'm OK once I'm actually doing it. I don't mess around beforehand, but it has to be brush wetted, toothpaste on head, wetted then brush.

I did LOL, but I kinda agree that that's an abomination. I hate gummies masquerading as other food like burgers.

I have a notes/memo app (ColorNote) that I use for shopping lists. I forget to add things to it frequently, which totally negates the point 🙄 I use it for lists of everything. Recipes, game achievements, Qs to ask in appointments, my meal plan for the wk so I can write the shopping lists, etc.

Thank you. I think they'll find it more helpful for schoolwork, but not so much cleaning their room! Maybe if I tell them to do a checklist of things like dusting, tidying, etc and then they can spread it to different days rather than all at once.

Does reward then the work, work if it's audhd? I suggested it to my kid & they didn't seem enthusiastic about the idea.

Use a note/memo app on your phone, if you can. I have to check it several times down an aisle. And I can cross things off the list as I get them. If only I remembered to add stuff I needed to it. Can also send it via text, WhatsApp, etc, to other ppl, if you need to.

It would be empathetic of them to realise that you need something different than that ritual or that your response is fine. Hugs to you & ffs @ them

I misread that as butler and thought nothing of it 🙈 tbf a butler would be useless bcs I'd never know what to tell them to do. And I'd hate the hovering.

You may want to change the notification after a while bcs I'm starting to hate mine. But I take like 14 or 15 meds/day. I can't remember.

Try the MyTherapy app, it's good for med reminders. Comes back if you swipe it, you have to confirm to stop the reminder from popping back up and you can snooze for 30 mins, if needed. I take many meds each day & have a bad memory. It was recommended on an adhd subreddit.

Yes, of course.

The school referred to CAMHS last year and CAMHS this year, when they finally got to it, told me they don't do rtc !!! 12-23 months waiting list. & referral for asd not adhd so erm yeah v thankful we went private & were able to as I know it's not the case for many. So, I feel your pain.

Ok, let her know I'm happy to help if she has any questions. I just did this for my kid who's at secondary school. But I had to be forceful with the GP when I rang & tell them I want an adhd referral on right to choose to this provider. GPs apparently often say they can't refer but they can!

So, I've been through the process on the private side completely. Now doing it again. Also done it for ASD completely. I hate questionnaires!!! If there's anything I can help with, let me know.

I just did this for my kid (after being fobbed off to the school last year) surprise, they've referred to my chosen provider. I was not taking any sh*t. The clinic was in touch less than 1 month for initial questionnaires. Long story short - we have private diagnosis, doing nhs for medication as U18

From Google, that clinic looks to be UK, you can use right to choose & get your GP to refer you. They might fight/fuss - don't back down. But choose your provider before you speak to your GP.

I'm so sorry. The waiting is horrible. Is that in the US or UK?
