They left a bucket exposed publicly. That bucket had selfies, drivers licenses, etc.

Horrendously bad security for a modern application. In many cases, you have to go out of your way to make a bucket public like this because it’s almost never what you want to do.
New from 404 Media: viral woman's dating safety app Tea breached. 4chan taking peoples' uploaded photos, used to verify its a woman-only app. App recently hit no. 1 in App Store. “DRIVERS LICENSES AND FACE PICS! GET THE FUCK IN HERE BEFORE THEY SHUT IT DOWN!” www.404media.co/women-dating...

A spokesperson for the Tea app, which aims to be a place for women to “safely talk about men,” confirmed it was hacked.

The company “estimates that 72,000 images, including 13,000 verification photos and images of government IDs, were accessed”

The viral app requires new users to take selfies, which it says it deletes after review.

Really handy
Starter packs are genius, but I was surprised there wasn't a list of them for people to find.

So I built it:
blueskydirectory.com/starter-pack...

The website monitors the packs being shared and adds the ones it finds to the database.

Missed your stater pack? Message me and I'll get it added.

I made a similar post on my Mastodon, but as a heads up I'm still looking for work. I've got a nearly 15yr background in #infosec with a focus on IR and Infra. Most recently was the security manager for #vrchat.

Looking for infosec positions that are fully remote in the US, or any in #Ireland.
