I worked with Senator Winters on a prescription drug benefit reform bill passed a few years ago - she was whip smart, passionate and always accessible. What a loss for CO. She was a patient herself w an autoimmune disease & a fierce advocate. Funny, sharp as tack & could wield bipartisan support. 💗

I have a white presenting biracial kid - now 22. I was always asked if I was her nanny when I would take her to the park when she was young. . Some white parents tired to hire me - ie moonlighting- I simply told them they couldn’t afford me ..
