Really feel like I’m losing my mind: government OBVIOUSLY cannot punish an individual law firm for hiring someone it disfavors! It’s ludicrously unconstitutional and I feel like without a day of law school I could argue the case. And yet the best paid lawyers in the country are folding?

Good morning America. Today is the first day of the continued destruction of your republic & its alliances. You can be a passive observer or choose to stand up against it. Tomorrow will be too late.

Manchester City’s recent dip in form is striking: just a 30% win rate in their last 10 Premier League matches, compared to more than 70% during Pep's reign. A highly unusual slump for the reigning champions

One of the last effects to wear off after a trip to space is psychological. Several astronauts returning from the ISS have reported that months afterwards, they still occasionally let go of an object in mid-air, and are surprised when it drops to the floor rather than floats.

Wonder if news editors are going to realize people knew about an actual coup an hour-plus earlier on bluesky than twitter. Hearing a lot of that rumbling from old friends still in the legacy content mines today.

The vast majority of people in American jails are not there because they have been convicted of a crime; instead, more than 80 percent are too poor to post bail. Now Illinois has done something about that: abolishing cash bail:

Amid a national backlash against criminal justice reform, Illinois has achieved something extraordinary. It’s working better than anyone expected.

It goes without saying that this is stupid, and I wonder what set it off. Was there a segment on Fox News? But I thought it might be worth a thread explaining what Trump (and, to be fair, some other international leaders) don't get about international money 1/
