Oh he's not new. He's the man behind the plan (Project 2025). Those exec orders that Trump issued on Day 1 and beyond? All per the plan. The Repub Congress not interfering w T? V and confederates have been at this 20 years. p 2025 is latest iteration and w/ 47 installed they are wielding the sword.

Until recently we had many of the brightest and best minds working in govt institutions. Foregoing higher salaries and bonuses for public service. Likewise foregoing better paying jobs. Considering this, a relatively small annual bonus on top of a low-market salary hardly seems unwarranted.

It was intentionally done "under cover of darkness" so there was not sufficient time for opponents in the House to find it (or the rest of these overnight shivs), read it, discuss it, much less debate it. Certainly not any time for the public to know and create an outcry.

My guess / worry is that many if not most Republicans in Congress are not seized by fear of crossing Trump. Rather they are intentionally standing by to minimize friction on implementing Project 2025 strategies and tactics.
