anyone else feel like they constantly get a bait and switch on Etsy when it comes to ETAs of things?

I want to support small creators and unique, handmade items

and in doing so, I know these take time to make and aren’t picked off a shelf and sent in mail next day

everyone on SM: can the next update just merge all the shortcuts and functions to be standard across platforms

programmers: best we can do is give you an update no one wants where the features you liked are gone and we moved the buttons because we hate muscle memory

it’s not the hunger games

it’s the billionaire games… and we’re all the pawns

apparently it’s not just Texas cattle feeders but also ropers are complaining they can’t get their cheap Mexican roping steers

pretty freaking tone deaf to want to risk the cattle herd to NWS for sport

need someone who believes and supports trickle down economics to explain why they are against SNAP/WIC?

if major wealth stimulates the economy how does someone spending money at grocery stores to feed their families not also stimulate the economy?
October 25, 2025 at 7:07 PM
amount of posts I’ve seen celebrating others losing SNAP and other programs tells me I’ve held space for too many of the wrong kind of people

don’t really care what side of the aisle you’re on, taking joy in food insecurity is garbage behavior and says way more about your moral compass than theirs

it’s almost like letting Trump make claims and take credit for things he had nothing to do with, or worse, he made worse but claimed was a win, since 2016 has consequences

it was only a matter of time before he wanted credit for agriculture, and most who are mad today stood silent all these years

not jumping on the “beef is too expensive” or the “beef is too cheap” bandwagons

but am going to say: folks making posts and sharing posts about the breakdown cost of beef per serving or protein and nutrients compared to nutrient-lacking, ultra-processed foods

are missing the boat:

our government is attacking a brand name of a medicine and not the ingredient

that’s all you need to know about the legitimacy of this

I’m old enough to remember in comms 101 where we were taught to say “tissue” or “slow cooker” and not Kleenex or Crock-Pot because of trademarks and lawsuits

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

in the year of 2025 i am OVER having to call or sign up for a quote

PUT YOUR PRICES OR PRICING GUIDES ONLINE

it’s now a point that I refuse to do business with anyone who can’t publish pricing or price ranges
September 18, 2025 at 4:36 PM
i keep repeating this, but it seems necessary and critical

every single U.S. citizen needs to read Milton’s Areopagatica and freedom of the press

press, on any side, should be absolutely free and untied to government in any form

not notre dame running a poultry science commercial while playing TAMU

they really said the competition isn’t limited to the field tonight

the amount of people who’s response to Florida’s vaccine announcement saying “If you’re worried you can get vaccinated if you think they protect you”

DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT EFFICACY IS and should absolutely not be making health decisions.

Fascinating list of the scientists who have saved the most lives, via @maxroser.bsky.social at @ourworldindata.org ,

2 of the top 3 are food related:

#1 - Haber & Bosch, for synthetic nitrogen (2.3 billion)
#3 - Norman Borlaug, for high-yield crops (245 million)

if you’re mad about a privately owned company updating their branding to reflect who they are and their target audience by removing artwork with ties to slavery

but you’re happy Trump is ordering museums to remove factual history exhibits over slavery/genocide

you might be the problem

the people ok with dems losing their voting voice in Texas since the claim the gerrymandering better represents the state’s values

are the same people mad a private company updated its branding to better represent their target audience’s values
August 23, 2025 at 4:49 PM
tx GOP want to say if the Dem reps were serious about bipartisan they wouldn’t leave the state and would stay and fight

but none of them want to admit that if TX was as conservative as they claim, they wouldn’t need to gerrymander either

influencers be like you can’t wash your cast iron with soap because of “seasoning”

but use the corrosive/abrasive salt + lemon to, checks notes, remove the seasoning🫠

wash your cast iron like normal folks, THEN dry it and rub some crisco on it to re-season it

it’s not difficult

we’ve reached the point where people are buying commercial eggs at the grocery store (major chain, not local market) and attempting to hatch the eggs

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but American Angus Association has +22,000 members

a survey with 1500 responses and not even 100% of those 1500 agreeing, does not = 89%

🙄

and they’re worried about others manipulating data in a study????
