Well, it is my kiddo's first orchestra concert of the school year tonight. Their middle school is officially doing the clear bag thing. Got my obligatory clear bag 🙄 ready.

I had warned my kid that I would be protesting this decision in this way... "ya wanna know what's in my bag so badly...?"

PSA: mantids can predate hummingbirds. I found these two on/near my hummingbird feeder (note the blonde one camouflaged on the stucco, too). Make sure to gently relocate any praying mantis' that you see hanging around your hummingbird feeders.

I found a hornworm on my tomato plant. Put on the fountain to be eaten by a bird yesterday AM. He did not get eaten, & was crawling up the side of the fountain HOURS later. Before a major storm.
Little bastard.
Then I found out they turn into hummingbird moths.
✨sigh✨
I have a pet hornworm now.
