signed up for a poetry workshop because i know everything i write needs workshopping before it's "perfect" and ready for submitting somewhere; and now here i am in this workshop, not wanting to submit any poems for review bc they aren't perfect. make it make sense, me.

saddest little baby in the room

you ever meet an eldest daughter who acts like a youngest son and think: how? why? what was the family dynamic and how do i steal it?

and by the way, no, i don’t regret bringing up lil wayne and ‘tha carter iii’ in this poetry workshop’s first session last night. i stood by it in middle school, i’m standing by it now.

this speaker just said 2050 is roughly 25 years away and ummm no? 2050 is and has always been 50+ years away??
