Mystery hole update: it’s been filled in 😢
Paid a visit to the mystery hole containing mystery ruins today. Happy to report that nobody has touched it and the hole is still “hidden” by a traffic cone.
This leaves me able to co-opt son into mischief and go dig the thing up at last before he goes :)

I got the money shot of Mt Rainier while driving back to Seattle today. Hard to imagine it’s over 150 miles away!

Old family photos. My grandfather is second from the right. The handsome chap in the middle was his brother who was captured by the Nazis and put into a camp where he lost an eye. His wife thought he was dead for four years. They then took two years to release him. He never spoke about it.
