Stay safe out there, folks. Never let anyone bully you into accepting something you don’t fully understand or agree with.

As the daughter of lawyers, my spidey senses were tingling very early on, and my suspicions were confirmed by how they handled completely reasonable questions from an author reviewing an offer.

I asked for what sales levels they had achieved, and for clarity on the advance and term. They confirmed an advance for the entire series that was unacceptably low and for a too-long term, then withdraw the offer.

Since their offer included a royalty breakdown for sales of over 25K copies, I asked which of their books had achieved those numbers. The answer? None.

God, he was so hot in that movie. 😩

I got some fraudulent replies to this request, but they did lead me to some legit artists.

Like, is he even going to grovel? She seems like such a doormat that she wouldn’t even make him! And 30% in, he REALLY needs to. 😡

I know how it’s going to end, I just don’t know if I care. Why would she stay with the husband of he’s a jerk and her ex is waiting in the wings? Why wouldn’t she go no-contact with her parents if they’re that terrible?
