Twelve years ago, on a Friday the 13th, I did one of the luckiest things ever, and brought this small black cat home from the shelter. Here she is, napping while I do all the work, which seems about right. All hail Queen Maeve.

I adopted this excellent black cat on a Friday the 13th. (All such Fridays are celebrated as Maeve Days.) Wishing everyone small black cat luck today in an attempt to balance out, you know, the rest of things.
